Susan Macri, M. Ed.
Special Education Advocate
Mrs. Macri has over thirty years of experience working in the field of special education. She began her career as a special education teacher where she had the honor of teaching children with disabilities from grades pre-K through high school. After teaching for 10 years, she transitioned into the role of Special Education Director where she was able to work collaboratively with families to assure that their child received appropriate specialized instruction.
Mrs. Macri is passionate about special education and has an in-depth knowledge of special education law. She will listen to your concerns and advocate with the school to assure that your child receives the services he/she needs to make progress toward their educational goals. Her collaborative approach provides the best outcome for student success.
Mrs. Macri has a Bachelor of Science degree in special education from Boston University and a Master of Education degree in Special Education Leadership from the University of Southern Maine. Please contact us today if we can be of help to you and your family.
Sabrina Ewart, BA. SpEd.
Special Education Advocate
Sabrina Ewart is a passionate special education advocate and a devoted mother to a child with special needs. With over six years of experience working with families throughout multiple counties in South Florida, Sabrina has tirelessly advocated for the rights and inclusion of children with special needs in the education system.
Her journey as a special education advocate began when her own child was diagnosed with multiple learning disabilities. Determined to ensure her child received the best possible education, Sabrina immersed herself in researching various educational approaches and legal frameworks, empowering herself with knowledge to advocate effectively.
Sabrina is a member of the Council of Parent Attorneys and Advocates (COPAA), As well as a proud recipient of the Barbara Blaine Trailblazer award in her advocacy for sex trafficking victims. She has earned her place as Vice Chair for Trusted Hope, an organization that fights against child abuse in the foster care system.
Sabrina’s work as an advocate has involved collaborating closely with parents, educators, service providers, and school administrators to create individualized education plans (IEPs) that meet the unique needs of each child. She firmly believes that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally in an inclusive educational environment.
One of Sabrina’s key strengths lies in her ability to build strong relationships with families, offering them emotional support and guidance during what can often be a confusing and overwhelming process. She ensures that parents feel empowered and encouraged to actively participate in their child's educational journey, equipping them with the tools necessary to navigate the system effectively.
Throughout her career, Sabrina has successfully advocated for numerous families, helping them secure appropriate accommodations, specialized services, and necessary resources for their children. Her dedication and commitment have resulted in positive outcomes for students with special needs, allowing them to reach their full potential in both academic and personal realms.
In addition to her advocacy work, Sabrina actively engages with local communities, hosting workshops and seminars to raise awareness about the rights and needs of children with special needs. She collaborates with schools, organizations, and support groups, fostering a culture of inclusivity and understanding.
